Uttarakhand floods: Rs 4-4 lakh assistance from state government to the families of the deceased

- Rs 2 lakh will also be provided from the Prime Minister's fund

Rivers in Uttarakhand's Chamoli district have been flooded due to glacier rupture. Which has caused great destruction. About 150 people are missing after the floods, of which 10 have been found so far. So far 16 people have been rescued. Apart from this, people are also trapped in the Tapovan tunnel. A rescue operation is underway by the Army and NDRF.

In the midst of all this, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat has announced Rs 4 lakh assistance to the families of those who lost their lives in the tragedy. Apart from this, he said that the army has reached the spot. An NDRF team has reached Chamoli from Delhi. In terms of medical facilities, the army, paramilitary force and doctors from our state have started camps there. Apart from this he said that we have done Halai survey. Apart from this, the situation has been ascertained by going as far as Reni village by road.

So Prime Minister Narendra Modi has also expressed grief over the floods. Also, the families of those who have died will be compensated Rs 2 lakh from the Prime Minister's fund. So those who are seriously injured will be given compensation of 50 thousand rupees.
