The new strategy of the peasant leaders behind the silence at the agitation site in Delhi

New delhi date. 16 February 2021, Tuesday

Amid the ongoing agitation against the new agricultural law on the border of the capital Delhi, many farmers are returning to their villages. There is speculation that the movement is slowing down. However, in response, farmer leaders say they already know that the fight will be protracted, with less crowds at the border being part of their new strategy.

The focus has been on the state to gain support for the movement. Farmer leader Rakesh TK has planned mahapanchayats across the country. They may attend similar meetings in Haryana, Maharashtra and Rajasthan in the coming days.

The stalemate between farmers and the government has been going on since November last year. Neither party is willing to back down. Farmers have also rejected government proposals to suspend the three laws for 18 months while talks are ongoing. Prime Minister Narendra Modi also said that the proposal is still the same.
