Sonu Sud gets relief from the Supreme Court, banning the demolition of the building

New delhi date. 05 February 2021, Friday

Actor Sonu Sud, who was lauded overnight for helping people who fell ill during a lockdown, has been barred by the Supreme Court from taking any action against his house.

It may be mentioned that the Mumbai Corporation had issued a notice for illegal construction at Sonu Sud's house in Juhu area. The corporation says that Sonu Sud has converted the 6-storey building into a hotel.

Sonu Sood had appealed to the High Court against this. However, after the High Court refused to stay him, the actor filed an application in the Supreme Court in which he said that the internal renovation of the house has already been stopped. It should not be demolished.

Sonu Sude had earlier said that he had sought the corporation's permission to make the change. "Only the Coastal Zone Management Authority's approval was awaited. I have always complied with the law."

However, the Supreme Court has now ordered not to take action on the construction of Sonu Sud. At the same time, Sonu Sud has said that they are withdrawing the petition from the Supreme Court and going to resolve the matter with the corporation.
