Rahul Gandhi's readiness to become Congress president again on the advice of Obama's campaign manager!

- Rahul-Priyanka duo ready to change Sonia-Rahul equation

New delhi date. Monday, February 15, 2021

Rahul Gandhi is once again preparing to return as the 87th Chairman of the AICC, the All India Congress Committee. Recently he tried to raise the issue of farmers very loudly in Parliament. He also raised other issues, including China. This is an indication that the young Gandhi is emerging as a polarizing leader instead of a popular face against Narendra Modi. Rahul Gandhi was advised to do so in 2012 by eminent political adviser Stephen Cutter. He was the manager of Barack Obama's election campaign. At that time he met Rahul Gandhi in the Congress office. In fact, the UPA government was at the center at the time and even Rahul could not heed his advice.

Apart from that, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra is also preparing to play an important role in the party. The Rahul-Priyanka duo is now ready to change the power equation of Sonia-Rahul which was largely decided by Ahmed Patel and Motilal Vora. If Rahul Gandhi becomes president then Priyanka Gandhi can play many roles which Patel and Vora used to do before work. This means that Priyanka Gandhi can act as a bridge between Rahul and the party.

The term of the new president will run until December 2022. According to Article XVIII [H] of the Congress Constitution, a regular Speaker is required to be elected by the constituency which has about 1,300 AICC representatives. In December 2017, Rahul Gandhi was elected as the 87th Chairman of AICC for 5 years. Then in May 2019, he accepted responsibility for the defeat in the Lok Sabha elections and resigned. Since then, Sonia Gandhi has been the party's interim president.
