New delhi date. 15 February 2021, Monday

Politics on the issue has also intensified at a time when people are worried about rising petrol-diesel prices. In Delhi, the Congress has held a press conference with an empty gas cylinder and asked questions.

Congress leader Supriya Srinivasan said that the Modi government has decided to be brutal with the farmers but now it has decided to break the backs of every stove, every housewife and thus every man in the country. The central government has also set fire to stoves.

"Everyone knows that petrol-diesel prices have crossed Rs 100," he said. Now the price of cooking gas is also rising steadily. Within 10 days, the price of a cooking gas cylinder has gone up by Rs 75. On February 4, the price of a cooking gas cylinder went up by Rs 25 but today it has gone up by Rs 50 more.

He said that not only that, within two months of December 2020, the price of a gas cylinder has gone up by Rs 175 per cylinder. During this time, an increase of Rs 50-50 was recorded twice. The cylinder which was available at Rs 594 in Delhi is now available at Rs 769 in Delhi. Even when the price of crude oil went up in the international market when there was a Congress government, the price of a cylinder did not go up so much.
