Normally government projects in India run at a snail's pace but the National Highway Authority of India has shown significant speed in highway construction over the last few years.

The National Highway Authority of India has set a world record as well as a history by constructing a 25.54 km road in just 18 hours.

A four-lane highway is being prepared between Vijaypur and Solapur on National Highway 52. The record was set in the construction of one lane.

Informing about this, Union Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari said that this achievement has been achieved with the help of 500 employees and congratulations to those who have worked hard for this. The 110 km highway between Solapur and Vijapur will be completed by October 2021.

The highway is part of the Bangalore-Vijayapura-Aurangabad-Gwalior corridor. Earlier in February, the National Highway Authority of India set a world record for laying the most concrete on the highway in 24 hours.
