Naradham sentenced to death for raping nine-year-old girl in Bihar

In Uttar Pradesh and Bihar, crime, especially against women, is on the rise. Uttar Pradesh has become a crime city. Naradham was sentenced to death by a Gopalganj court in August last year for raping and killing a nine-year-old girl.

Additional District and Sessions Judge Balendu Shukla convicted Jai Kishore Sah under various sections of the IPC as well as Poxo on charges of rape and murder. In addition to the death sentence, the accused was also fined Rs 1.20 lakh. Jai Kishor had committed the crime on August 25 last year in Nabhakhror village under Sidhwala police station.

Considering the seriousness of the case, the court heard the case in just 25 days and gave its verdict. A court in Pratapgarh in Uttar Pradesh's capital, Uttar Pradesh, sentenced Naradham Prashant to 10 years rigorous imprisonment for raping a minor in 2016.
