Meeting between Mithun Chakraborty and Sangh president, speculation of actor joining BJP

Union President Mohan Bhagwat and veteran actor Mithun Chakraborty met on Tuesday. The visit ahead of the West Bengal elections has sparked a number of discussions.

There is speculation that Mithun Chakraborty may join the BJP. There have been rumors about Gemini before. Mithun Chakraborty and Mohan Bhagwat also met in October 2019. The visit took place at the Sangh office in Nagpur.

Mithun Chakraborty has been a Rajya Sabha MP from West Bengal from the Trinamool Congress. However, he himself resigned from the Rajya Sabha due to persistent absenteeism.
