Farmer's body wrapped in tricolor and cremated

A farmer from Pilibhit in Uttar Pradesh, who was on his way to join the farmers' agitation, was killed in a road accident.

A farmer named Bajinder Singh was on his way to Ghaziabad to take part in the demonstration. After he did not return, his family members went to the police station to lodge a complaint about his disappearance. His body was then placed in a cold room. The police then handed over the body to his family.

However, the family members of the deceased farmer made the final journey by wrapping a tricolor on his terrestrial body. The video went viral.

According to the police, the tricolor has a specific protocol and rules for the final journey. All these have been violated by the farmer's family and the tricolor has been insulted. There is a provision to take action against him.
