Indian Air Force chief Rakesh Kumar Singh Bhadauria on Thursday issued a statement on the ongoing rift between India and China and military readiness.

According to ANI news agency, Air Chief RKS Bhadauria said talks were underway with India and China. We have deployed as many soldiers as needed at the border. The conversation from us is getting attention. We are ready if a new situation arises.

On the defense budget, he said the increase in expenditure (Rs 20,000 crore) was a big step by the government. An increase of Rs 20,000 crore was also made last year. This will help all three wings of the army. He lauded the growing strength in indigenous production at the Aero India show on Wednesday.

The Aero India show is being held in Bengaluru amid tensions with China. Regarding the deployment of Raphael's plane on the border, he said that an earthquake had hit the Chinese camp. China deployed its J-20 fighter jets in the vicinity of eastern Ladakh, but when we deployed Raphael in the area, they retreated.

Able to cope with all situations
Talks are currently underway with India and China. The whole thing depends on how the conversation goes. We have deployed as many troops as we need at the border. The emphasis is on communication from us. It is a good thing if both countries start the process of returning, but we are fully prepared for any new situation that may arise.
