A BJP youth front worker was stabbed to death in Delhi's Mangolpuri area late on Wednesday night. Tensions between the two communities in the area have escalated since the incident, prompting the deployment of a large police force. It was learned that there was a controversy over raising funds for the Ram temple and later he was killed.

However, the family members of the deceased had a dispute with other community members over the program at Rammandir Park during Dussehra and alleged that the youth was killed over it. Police have registered a case based on the complaint of the youth's younger brother and arrested four accused.

The deceased has been identified as Rinku Sharma (25). He lived with his parents and two younger brothers in the Mangolpuri block and worked in a private hospital. Manu, brother of the deceased, said that his family along with Nasruddin, Islam, Jahid and Mehtab, who lived a short distance from his house, had a scuffle over the program at Rammandir Park during Dussehra. All the accused then threatened to kill him. Late on Wednesday night, the four accused, along with some others, came to Rinku's house and started uttering insults referring to the Dussehra incident. Rinku and Manu resisted and attacked him with a stick and later killed Rinku by hitting him with a chappa.
