7000 Indians are lodged in jails of different countries of the world, most of them in Saudi

The Central Government has released the number of Indians lodged in jails in different parts of the world. As many as 7000 Indians are lodged in various jails.

In response to a question in the Rajya Sabha, Minister of State for External Affairs V Muralitharan said, "All these Indians are being given legal assistance. The Indian embassies in that country are doing this." Is going to happen.

Of these, 1599 Indians are lodged in Saudi Arabian jails. 265 Indians are lodged in US, 898 Indians in UAE, 411 Indians in Qatar, 886 Indians in Nepal. Similarly, 536 Indians are lodged in Kuwait, 221 in Italian and 63 in Pakistan.

He said that due to strict privacy rules in some countries, prisoners are not given information unless they give their consent. However, Indian embassies are monitoring their cases and legal aid is also being provided to Indians in prisons. The government of India is also trying to reduce the punishment of Indians.
