Yogi named best CM for third time in a row: Mood of Nation Survey

-The remaining six non-BJP chief ministers are in the top seven

New Delhi 22nd January 2021 Friday

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath was declared the best Chief Minister of the country in a survey.

Yogi Adityanath was declared the best Chief Minister for the third time in a row in a Mood of Nation survey conducted by Carvey Insights Limited for a TV channel.

However, this was the only consolation for the BJP. Yogi was the only BJP chief minister out of seven in the survey for good governance. The remaining six chief ministers were from non-BJP and non-Congress state governments.

Most interestingly, Mamata Banerjee of West Bengal, who was elected as the best Chief Minister three times in a row before Yogi, was dropped to fourth position this time. Mamata got only nine per cent votes.

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and Andhra Pradesh's Jagan Mohan Reddy got 11 per cent votes. Earlier, in a survey conducted in January last year, Yogi Adityanath also became the best Chief Minister. Surprisingly, despite dozens of serious crimes like the Hathras scandal in Uttar Pradesh in the last one year, Yogi was selected as the best Chief Minister in the survey.

In last year's poll, Arvind Kejriwal and Mamata Banerjee were joint second with 11-11 per cent votes. This time Mamta reached number four. The survey was conducted between July 15, 2020 and July 27, 2020 and asked a total of 12,021 people. 67 per cent were from rural areas while 33 per cent were from urban areas.

The survey covered a total of 97 parliamentary seats and a total of 194 assembly seats in 19 states across the country.
