Vaccinating 1 million people in 6 days, India surpassed even the US and Britain

India has lagged behind other countries in the world in terms of corona vaccination.

"One million people have been vaccinated against corona in the last six days and India has overtaken the United States and Britain in this regard," the health ministry said in a statement today. It took Britain 18 days and the United States 10 days to cross the 100 million mark.

As many as 1.6 million people have been vaccinated by 8 am on January 24. Two lakh people have been vaccinated in the last 24 hours. The number of new cases of corona is also declining in the country. About 75 per cent of these patients are from Kerala, Maharashtra, Karnataka, UP and Bengal.

Eighty per cent of the total cases of corona are from only 6 states.
