The United States has once again added Cuba to the list of countries facing terrorist factors. Former President Barack Obama has removed Cuba from the list of countries harboring terrorists. Donald Trump's government once again described Cuba as a safe haven for terrorists.

US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said the Cuban government was "suppressing" voices at home. The U.S. government has always focused on preventing Fidel Castro's regime from using tools that were used to crush domestic protests.

Pompeo also said the United States had played a key role in reducing Cuba's influence in Venezuela and the rest of the Western Hemisphere. Barack Obama removed Cuba's name from the list of countries that harbor terrorists, believing that Cuba does not harbor traditional terrorists. In his view, Cuba did not condone Islamic terrorism or any other form of terrorism.

However, the United States has had a kind of dislike for Cuba since the time of Fidel Castro. At that time, the US was not paying attention to the encouragement given to terrorists by Pakistan. The United States turned its attention to Pakistan after the 9/11 attacks on the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center.
