New Delhi Dated 15th January 2021 Friday

Three people, including a woman and a child, were killed in a blaze at Rohini Sector 6 in the capital New Delhi this morning.

According to prima facie reports, the first fire broke out in a junk shop. The fire then spread to the huts built above the shop. The family of a young man named Monu, who worked in a junk shop, lived there.

As soon as news of the fire was received, the fire brigade team reached there and put out the fire in time. Most people were rescued by the fire brigade. After the fire was extinguished, when the fire brigade entered to see the situation inside, they saw two completely burnt bodies. One of the bodies was believed to be that of a twenty-year-old man. The other body was that of a ten-year-old boy. However, both were so badly burned that it was not possible to identify them.

A police team investigating the incident found another body near a ditch, which was also burnt. He was identified as a young man named Rohit. Police believed that Rohit may have been there when the fire broke out and inadvertently fell into the fire. He would have run to the ditch to get relief by falling into the water. But he must have died before that. It was reported that he was in his early 20's and was working as a driver.

No details were available on how the fire started. But the fire brigade suspected that the fire may have been caused by a short circuit. The area is densely populated. Police had registered a case against the stranger under Section 285/304 of the Indian Penal Code.

The injured were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. The number of people injured was not known.
