The tractor rally will be heard on Wednesday, the Supreme Court avoided hearing today

- Put some responsibility on the police

New Delhi Dated 18th January 2021 Monday

The court on Wednesday adjourned the hearing of a petition filed in the Supreme Court on the issue of whether farmers can hold a tractor rally in the capital New Delhi on Republic Day.

The court said in a statement that the police should exercise their authority. The court also said that the police would decide who could come to Delhi and who could not.

It may be recalled here that for the last fifty-one days, thousands of so-called farmers have been agitating on the border of New Delhi. His only demand is to withdraw the new agricultural laws. Regarding this single demand, the central government is also clear that agricultural laws will not be withdrawn at any cost.

On Sunday, farmers threatened not to return until agricultural laws were repealed. We are ready to agitate till 2024 if need be. Tane threatened to hold a tractor rally in Delhi during the Republic Day parade to increase pressure on the central government. An application was filed in the Supreme Court against it.

There was also an application from the central government. The apex court said it was up to the police to decide whether to allow the tractor rally or not, it was not the job of the apex court. The police have to exercise their authority to decide who can or cannot come to Delhi.

One of the reasons why the apex court did not appeal to the farmers may be that the farmers refused to co-operate with the four-member committee set up by the apex court or the National Security Agency to consider their demands. Farmers leaders said without stealing any words that the laws have been framed by the government so we have faith in the government. We do not trust the committee of the Supreme Court. However, Bhupinder Singh, a member of the committee and a member of the Indian Farmers' Union, resigned after the apex court constituted the committee. However, there was an impression that there was no unity even among the various farmers' unions.
