Supreme Court refuses to hear tractor rally issue

The decision in this regard is to be taken by the Delhi Police

-Ast asked the Central Government to withdraw the application

-New Delhi Dated 20th January 2021 Wednesday

The apex court today refused to hear the issue of holding a tractor rally on Republic Day in the national capital, New Delhi, saying the matter was to be decided by the Delhi Police, not the apex court.

The apex court had directed the central government to withdraw the petition filed on the tractor issue. Both the Delhi Police and the central government were shocked when thousands of so-called farmers, who have been camping on the Delhi border for the last 56 days, threatened to stage a tractor rally on January 26 during the Republic Day parade. A petition was filed in the Supreme Court seeking an order in this regard.

The Supreme Court today refused to say anything on the issue for the second time in a row. A bench comprising Chief Justice SA Bobde, Justice L Nageshwar Rao and Justice Vineet Sharan said, "We cannot issue any order regarding the tractor rally." We allow you to withdraw the application. So now the issue is again between the central government and the farmers. Farmers are adamant and the government is adamant. More than thirty farmers have lost their lives during the farmers' movement. Even in the bitter cold that freezes bones in Delhi, farmers are standing firm wherever they are.

Farmers have no problem as there are plastic tents, mobile toilets, free anchors, tea water and a farmer's mall providing free necessities. Those people warned that we are ready to sit here till the 2024 parliamentary elections. Our only demand is that the government withdraw the new agricultural laws. We do not trust the committee formed by the Supreme Court. The laws are not made by the Supreme Court, they are made by the government, so if the government withdraws the laws, we will leave in another minute.

The mood of the government is understandable. The government believes that once a law is withdrawn, there may be pressure to withdraw another law. In February 2020, there was an agitation against the new law on citizenship and the register of citizenship, which turned violent. At present, the central government believes that if the agricultural law is withdrawn, such an agitation could take place tomorrow to repeal the law on citizenship.

It was also alleged by a group that in the name of the so-called farmers, the movement has been captured by factions such as brokers and Khalistani terrorists who are actually sweating over the farmers.
