Sensex crosses 49,000, Nifty hits new high of 14485


Retreat in small and midcap stocks

The Sensex today touched a high of 49,000 as the country's stock market plummeted and other positive reports, including reports that the economy was on the rise. The Nifty, on the other hand, approached the 14500 level.

The decline in corona cases in the country over the last ten days has also had a positive impact on the market, with reports of the economy moving out of the corona period and moving towards growth. In addition, after the favorable results of TCS, the season of corporate results was considered to be favorable.

The Sensex intraday closed at a record high of 49269.32, up 486.81 points, setting a new record of 49303, on the back of fresh buying by foreign investors following a bullish tone on the Bombay Stock Exchange.

At the NSE, the Nifty intraday surged 137.50 points to a new high of 14484.75 at the end of trading on the back of fresh intake from Chomer. Following the rise in the Sensex, investors' assets (BSE market capitalization) also rose by Rs. With an increase of Rs 90,000 crore, it will end up at Rs. 196.56 lakh crore. Today, foreign investors have invested Rs. 3139 crore new takers were undertaken.
