More than 100 protesting farmers disappear after Red Fort violence, relatives worried

On the occasion of Republic Day, a tractor parade was organized by farmers in the capital Delhi. The parade assumed a violent form. Many places were vandalized, police were attacked, police and farmers clashed. Then the incident that took place at the Red Fort saddened the whole country. The aftershocks of all these events are now slowly coming to the fore.

More than 100 protesting farmers are missing after a violent incident at the Red Fort. So far police have only confirmed about 18 farmers that they have been arrested. While the rest of the farmers do not get the key. Due to which there is an atmosphere of anxiety in their families. Out of those arrested, 7 farmers are residents of Bungi Nihal Sang village under Talwandi sub-division of Bathinda district. The farmers have been arrested by the police on charges of violence at the Red Fort during a farmers rally.

The farmers left for Delhi on January 23 in two tractors. He has been arrested in connection with an FIR lodged at Delhi's Paschim Vihar police station following the January 26 violence.

Manjinder Singh Sirsa, chairman of the Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee, told a media house that Nangloi police had arrested 11 protesters from Moga, who have now been sent to Tihar Jail. Twelve people from Tatri Wala village in Moga area have been missing since the January 26 incident. So another farmer has been admitted to the hospital after being injured.

The Punjab Human Rights Organization (PHRO) said more than 100 farmers from Punjab who had come to Delhi to participate in the tractor parade were missing.
