India opens Pakistan's poll at UN, government silent as extremists demolish temples

-Now Indian Muslims pretend to be messiahs

UNO / New Delhi 22nd January 2021 Friday

Imran Khan's government was sitting quietly watching the 100-year-old Hindu temple in Pakistan being demolished by extremists and pretending to be the messiah of Indian Muslims, India said while opening Pakistan's poll at the UN.

India said that terrorism, violent extremism and intolerance were on the rise all over the world. This resulted in increased threat to institutions such as cultural and ancient heritage. Imran Khan's government was watching the spectacle when a Muslim 100-year-old temple was recently demolished by radical Muslims in Pakistan.

India said that Pakistan often says yes to the so-called atrocities on minorities in India but turns a blind eye to the atrocities against Hindus and Sikhs in Pakistan. The memory of the demolition of thousands of years old Buddhist statues in Afghanistan is still fresh in the hearts of every Indian citizen. Terrorists carried out a cowardly attack on a gurdwara in Afghanistan and killed 25 devotees. Pakistan has never said anything about that. Just last month, a mob set fire to a Hindu temple in the Karak region of Pakistan. The local administration was watching the whole game by heart.

India said that we all have to unite and speak out against such violent attacks and terrorism. Violence in the name of religion cannot be tolerated in any way. No religion teaches violence. There is an urgent need today to speak out in an organized manner in the UN against organizations that are fighting for peace instead of violence and dialogue.

It may be recalled here that in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa region of Pakistan, a mob led by a radical Islamist party vandalized a temple and set it on fire. The temple also had the Samadhi of a Hindu saint. The Hindus also sought the permission of the local administration to renovate the temple's hundreds of years old building. However, a mob ransacked the temple and set it on fire. Luckily the Supreme Court of Pakistan took a tough stance on the issue and ordered the temple to be rebuilt. India also strongly protested the violence at the temple.
