Govt catches insulter of tricolor, ready for unconditional talks: Rakesh Tikait

New delhi date. 31. Sunday 2021 January

"I am saddened by the way the tricolor was insulted at the Red Fort on January 26," Modi said in the Mann Ki Baat program.

Reacting to the statement, Rakesh Tikait, a farmer leader who has taken a stand against the government, said, "The tricolor is not just the Prime Minister's. The whole country loves the tricolor and we demand that those who have insulted the tricolor be caught."

On the question of resumption of talks between the government and the farmers, he said, "It is not possible to talk at gunpoint. We want a compromise on this issue by respecting the PM of the country. We are also ready to talk to the government but the government does not impose any conditions."

It may be mentioned that PM Modi had also said during the all-party meeting on Saturday that whatever proposal was made by Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar is still the same. The government is ready to talk to the farmers on a phone.
