New Delhi 30th January 2021 Saturday

The security agency was reported to have received a so-called threatening letter describing the blast near the Israeli embassy in the capital New Delhi on Friday evening as a trailer.

The threat said that the explosion is a trailer, the main film is still pending. That means there could be another big explosion near the Israeli embassy. Upon receiving the letter, the security agents were shocked.

The bomber struck shortly after noon in front of a U.S. military base. Iran has been at odds with the United States and Israel for some time. There was even a confrontation between Iran and the United States. The United States has also shot dead a senior Iranian military official.

At one point, the atmosphere was such that a confrontation between the US and Iran would not lead to a third world war.

Israel called Friday's bombing a "terrorist attack." The Government of India was also serious about this issue. However, Delhi Police did not call the blast a terrorist attack. The Beating Retreat Ceremony was going on at Vijay Chowk, just a kilometer and a half away from the place where the blast took place. All the security agencies were alerted after coming across the Iranian link. India has nothing to do with Iran's differences with the US and Israel.

Meanwhile, Home Minister Amit Shah today announced the cancellation of his visit to West Bengal. According to security sources, the letter found near the site of the blast also mentioned "Iranian martyr" Qasim Suleimani. Qasim Suleimani was a senior Iranian military official killed in a US airstrike in January 2020. The Special Branch and Crime Branch of Delhi Police were investigating the incident.
