Five Pakistani youths arrested at international border, Jammu and Kashmir governor informed


- Captured by border security forces, interrogation continued

Border security forces on Friday nabbed six Pakistani youths from the Indo-Pakistan international border for infiltrating. The youths ranged in age from 20 to 21 years. The youths were apprehended from the international border in Punjab.

A spokesman for the security forces said the youths were being questioned. The security forces wanted to know if the youths had reached the border area by mistake or if their intention was to infiltrate. His identity has not been released.

Meanwhile, Director General of Border Security Force NS Jamwal on Thursday called on Jammu and Kashmir Governor Manoj Sinha and apprised him of the situation prevailing in the border areas. In particular, he briefed the Governor on the threats posed on the pro-Pakistan border, the readiness of the Border Security Force to meet various challenges and the various steps being taken.

There was also talk between Jamwal and the governor of developing Suchetgarh and Chamiliyal area as tourist destinations. Apart from this, Sinha was also apprised of the major and minor problems prevailing in the local areas. Jamwal also invited Governor Sinha to visit the border area to interact with local citizens as well as Border Security Force personnel.
