Alcohol ban should be enforced across India: Former Union Minister Uma Bharti

New delhi date. 22 January 2021, Friday

BJP leader and former minister in the Modi government Uma Bharti has again issued a statement advocating for a nationwide ban on alcohol.

Uma Bharti has said in favor of a continuous ban on alcohol even before this. He said that alcohol ban should be implemented not only in Madhya Pradesh but in all states of the country. In this case the plan should be prepared with patience and implemented.

"Alcohol ban has been imposed in some states and I am well aware that even in Madhya Pradesh, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan wants to implement alcohol ban," he said.

Also yesterday, Uma Bharti tweeted eight times in a row in favor of a ban on alcohol. Prohibition is by no means a bargain. It will fill the gap in revenue, but horrific incidents like drunken rapes and murders are a disgrace to the whole country.
