A series of Taliban attacks in Afghanistan: a total of 40 killed, including soldiers

At least 40 people have been killed in a series of Taliban attacks in Afghanistan. On the one hand, there are ongoing peace talks between the Taliban and the government in Qatar, on the other hand, the government is increasingly embroiled in violence. A statement from the defense ministry said 25 security personnel and 15 Taliban fighters had been killed in the violence.

According to a government statement, several soldiers were killed in a Taliban attack in Kunduz. Fifteen Taliban militants were killed and 12 wounded in the clashes, according to the ministry. Journalists are also not informed as Kunduz province is largely dominated by the Taliban.

At least 25 soldiers were killed in a Taliban attack in Dasht-e-Archi. The dead included 13 soldiers and four policemen. At least eight soldiers were killed in the city of Kunduz. Taliban spokesman Zabiullah Mujahid said the Taliban were involved in all of today's attacks.

He attacked the check post and also snatched weapons and ammunition. Meanwhile, in southern Helmand province, the head of the administration, Abdul Zaheer Haqyar, was shot dead by unidentified gunmen. A car bomb had exploded in Uruzgan, killing a woman and a child.
