There were fears that protests against CAA-NRC would once again erupt in the Shaheen Bagh area of ​​Delhi due to heavy police presence. Heavy police contingent was deployed in Jamia Nagar and Shaheen Bagh areas.

Article 144 was applied in these areas and everyone who came here was monitored. Apart from the Delhi Police, paramilitary forces were also deployed. Demonstrations against CAA-NRC against Jamia Millia University in the capital New Delhi earlier this year began in a total of 14 areas, including Maulana Muhammad Ali Jauhar Marg and Shaheen Bagh. Following this, Shaheen Bagh became a famous area.

These demonstrations lasted the longest i.e. 101 days. It ended in March with the onset of coronary heart disease. Today marks one year since the demonstrations.

The intelligence department had received information that on the one hand there was a peasant movement and on the other hand there was a secret plan of some people to start a movement against the CAA-NRC once again so police were deployed in these sensitive areas. Apart from Delhi Police, CRPF and other forces were also deployed on Road No. 13 from Sarita Vihar to Kalindi Kunj in Shaheen Bagh. Police had received information that some students of Jamia were making such a move.

Apart from this, a heavy police presence was also arranged on the Maulana Muhammad Ali Jauhar Marg from Jamia Metro Station to Y Point.
