Wi-Fi network will be launched on a large scale across the country, a decision taken in the Union Cabinet

The central government has decided to launch a massive PM WiFi access network interface in the country. Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad said the decision was taken at a meeting of the Union Cabinet on Wednesday. Under it, a public data center will be opened in the country, he said. There will be no license, fee or registration for that.

According to Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad, the government will open 10 million data centers in the country. The scheme is named Prime Wi-Fi Access Interface. Through which Wi-Fi revolution will come in the country.

He said that the Cabinet also approved the provision of submarine optical fiber cable connectivity between Kochi and Lakshadweep. He said the Cabinet had approved the USOF scheme to provide mobile coverage in two districts of Arunachal Pradesh and Assam under the Comprehensive Telecommunication Development Plan for the North-East Region. A comprehensive telecom development scheme has been launched to provide mobile coverage in 2374 villages.

On the question of dialogue between farmers and the government on new agricultural laws, Union Minister Prakash Javadekar said, "This process is still going on."
