Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will hold a virtual meeting today and the two countries will sign some treaties. The two leaders will discuss some issues that are useful to each other through video conferencing.

In fact, train service between India and Bangladesh (formerly East Pakistan) is set to begin today after a period of fifty-five years. The leaders of the two countries will formally inaugurate the train service. Twenty-four hours after the celebration of Victory Day, the rise of Bangladesh after the Indo-Pakistani war in 1971, train service between India and Bangladesh was now starting.

A train service was being started between Chilhati-Haldiwadi to make it possible for Assam and West Bengal to connect with Bangladesh. The two Prime Ministers will also unveil a postage stamp in his memory on the occasion of the birth centenary of the President of Bangladesh Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. This railway line was closed after the Indo-Pakistani war of 1965. After a period of fifty-five years, this railway line was starting once again. This railway line will connect Cooch Behar and Chilhati area of ​​Bangladesh.

The meeting was also expected to discuss water distribution, Covid-19 co-operation, balance of trade, liaison and Rohingya Muslims.
