With the latest technology, the train will run without any motormen. On this occasion, the Prime Minister said that we have to move with the times. It is to take the country forward by adopting the latest technology.

On this occasion, the Prime Minister announced that by 2025, we plan to run driverless trains in this manner in twenty five cities of the country.

Currently, this driverless train will run on the Metro Magenta Line from Janakpuri West to the Botanical Gardens in Noida. Then in 2021, he said, there are plans to run driverless trains for 57 km on the Pink Line. This train will cover the distance from Majlis Park to Shiv Vihar.

Thus, the railway department of the center had planned to run driverless trains for a total of 94 km. Like other metro trains, the driverless train will have six coaches. The driverless train was claimed to be a huge technical achievement. The Delhi Metro launched the first driverless train in September 2017. Preparations for the project began when it was a success. As 2020 draws to a close, the Prime Minister unveiled the first driverless train on December 28 today.

This driverless train also has a total of six coaches like the metro train. Each coach can carry 380 passengers i.e. a total of 2280 passengers in the entire train. It was also claimed that the train was well prepared to deal with any emergency.

The train has been automated by digital cameras in conjunction with the track as well as other technical equipment.
