Washington, Dec. 13, 2020, Sunday

In the US, Khalistan supporters vandalized Gandhiji's monument, as well as hoisted the Khalistan flag. The incident took place at the Gandhiji Memorial outside the Indian Embassy in Washington, DC. Khalistan supporters vandalized Gandhiji's monument here under the pretext of rallying in support of farmers.

Videos and pictures of the whole incident are going viral on social media. A car rally was organized here by Sikhs and other Indians, in which these Khalistan supporters broke in and tried to hijack the rally.

The rally in support of the farmers was later used for his own agenda. The peaceful rally was later hijacked by Khalistan supporters who put a black sign on Gandhiji's monument and also hoisted the Khalistan flag.

Some Sikh youths stood near Gandhiji's memorial here, chanting anti-India slogans and chanting pro-Khalistan slogans. The incident was criticized by the Indian Embassy and prompted the American administration to take action against those responsible.

A statement issued by the embassy said, "We condemn this incident of tampering with the globally renowned Gandhiji's monument." Strict action should be taken against anti-social elements.

The embassy has approached the U.S. Department of Law and the State Department and called for an investigation and drastic action against each. Although a large number of Washington DC and Secret Service officials were present when the incident took place, they did not realize that anti-India slogans were being chanted and Khalistan supporters had infiltrated the rally.
