Kejriwal appeals to people to fast for one day in support of farmers

New delhi date. 13 December 2020, Sunday

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has said that he will observe a one-day fast tomorrow in support of the farmers and has also appealed to the people to fast. "Everyone should fast for a day in their homes and support the demands of the farmers," he said.

"Many players in the country have supported the farmers. Is it anti-national?" Kejriwal said. Is the country's lawyer, businessman, anti-national? The BJP is defaming the farmers' movement in the same way that the Congress government was defaming the Anna Hazare movement.

"I want to ask if there are a lot of ex-soldiers sitting here who risked their lives to defend the country, are they all anti-national," he told a digital conference. How many athletes who have made a name for the country at the international level and won medals have sat with the farmers. They are sitting at home and sending blessings. Are they all anti-national? There are many singers and celebrities who are children of farmers and come from farmers' families. All these people are supporting, are they all anti-national?

"No one believes that there are only a few farmers who are protesting against this law but every single man in the country understands this law and I recommend to the central government that these three bills be repealed and farmers' crops be taxed on MSP," he said. Purchase bills are made.

"When we were agitating for Anna, there was an agitation in Ramlila Maidan and there were conspiracies against us," Kejriwal said. Like the Congress, the BJP today is trying to discredit the farmers' movement. "I do not dare to call the country's farmers anti-national," he said.
