The government is now preparing to take drastic steps to address the shortage of doctors in government hospitals in UP.

As per the decision taken by the government, after post graduation, doctors will have to serve in government hospitals for 10 years. As soon as the education is over, the government job of doctors will start. Those who drop out in the middle of study will not get re-admission for three years.

The UP government has also made another arrangement to address the shortage of doctors. According to this, doctors working in rural areas for one year are given a discount of 10 marks in the NEET entrance exam. Now doctors can take admission in PG course as well as diploma course.

Just last week, CM Yogi directed the authorities to provide adequate number of doctors in the newly formed medical colleges so that patients can be treated better in the coronal period. He also directed that the newly approved medical colleges be set up as soon as possible He has given.
