I have BJP file, 121 names included: Sanjay Raut

New delhi date. 28 February 2020, Monday

PMC has issued summons for questioning of Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut's wife in the bank scam case. On Monday, a day after the summons, Sanjay Raut targeted the BJP. Agencies like ED have never been more important, he said. Because it is being used in the game of politics. The battle of politics should be against this. I have spoken to Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray and the Shiv Sena will respond in its own way.

"The importance of the ED, the CBI or the income tax department is declining," Raut told the media. Earlier when these agencies were taking action it was believed that there would be a serious matter but for the last few years it seems that agency action is taken when a political party is venting its anger.

Raut said he had a BJP file containing the names of 121 people and would soon hand over the file to the ED. It has so many names that the ED has to work for five years.

Sources said that Raut's wife Varsha Raut has been asked to meet the officials at the Mumbai-based ED's office on December 29. The agency is investigating an alleged financial transaction between Varsha Raut and Praveen Raut.
