Gold smuggler caught in airport trolley in Delhi

Customs officials said he was arrested two days later after fleeing and sticking metal in an airport trolley. The smuggler from Punjab was intercepted at the Delhi airport when he returned from Dubai. But at that time, he escaped by giving a slip to the officers.

He was arrested on Tuesday at Indira Gandhi International Airport's Terminal 3 for inserting a 1.5 kg gold plate worth Rs 3 lakh in an airport trolley. However, no details of his arrest were released, he confessed. That he came with a silver plate which weighed 1.5 kg. The plate was attached to the luggage trolley. He used adhesive tape for this work, ”said a customs official.

The December 18 statement did not mention how the accused escaped from the custody of the customs officer. Anne was then arrested and a gold plate was seized from her.
