Farmers committed to repeal agricultural laws, will now block railway tracks

New Delhi, 10 December 2020 Thursday

Farmers demanding repeal of agricultural laws have decided to intensify their agitation. "We have given an ultimatum till December 10 that if the PM does not listen to us and repeal the law, we will block the railway tracks," said Butasinh, a farmer leader.

In today's meeting it was decided that all the people of India would get on track, the Joint Kisan Manch would set a date and announce.

"In Punjab, there are still riots in front of toll plazas, malls, Reliance pumps, BJP leaders' offices and houses," he said. In addition, on the 14th, there will be a picket outside all DC offices in Punjab. The Prime Minister says the debate should continue and we believe so too.

On the other hand, the agriculture minister says that if the farmers agree on their reforms, only negotiations will continue, otherwise it will not happen. Again a condition is imposed on us which we condemn. '

Balbir Singh Rajewal of the Indian Farmers' Union (IU) said the central government had accepted that the law was made for traders and if agriculture was a state issue, they had no right to legislate on it.

The government is ready to negotiate

On the other hand, Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar has said that the government is always ready for talks with farmers. The government is open to me to consider any provision regarding any queries of the farmers, so as to allay the suspicions of the farmers. Farmers' organizations should consider the government's proposal.

We are ready for more negotiations each time, even in the near future. Union Minister Piyush Goyal also said that in order to resolve this issue, we appeal to the farmer brothers, sisters, union leaders to talk to the government to end the protests.
