Did the Maoists hijack the farmers 'movement? This is the answer given by the farmers' organizations

New Delhi, 12 December 2020, Saturday

Modi government ministers are claiming that the farmers' movement to repeal agricultural laws has now been hijacked by Maoists and anti-national elements.

However, farmers 'organizations have now responded. Rakesh Tikait of the Indian Farmers' Union said, "If the government thinks so, the central agencies should catch such elements and send them to jail. If we see such elements, we will expel them from the movement."

Earlier, Union Minister Piyush Goyal had said that the Left and the Maoists were provoking the farmers. The new government bill for farmers is going to benefit the farmers of the country. For some, the benefits of farmers across the country cannot be stopped.

"The Left is pursuing its own agenda and I urge the farmers not to be misled by the Left and to talk to the government," he said.
