BJP's challenge to discuss the issue of works for farmers

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has denied Congress allegations of disregarding the interests of farmers and challenged Rahul Gandhi to discuss in an open forum who did what for the welfare of farmers under the Congress rule and Modi's rule. The BJP also termed Rahul Gandhi's allegations as baseless and irrational. Union Minister Prakash Javadekar said that the Congress had ignored the interests of the farmers by keeping the prices of foodgrains low and kept them poor while the Modi government had enriched the farmers by implementing the report of the Swaminathan Punch through minimum support prices. Prime Minister Modi on Friday raised Rs. 15,000 crore will be transferred directly to the accounts of nine crore farmers. In addition to this, the farmers can get a total of Rs. 1.50 lakh crore will be provided. This is just the beginning. The scheme will run for the next 10 years and will provide a total of Rs. 3 lakh crore financial assistance will be provided. When the Congress was in power, it gave only Rs. 3,000 crore loan was forgiven. Even this money was not given to the farmers. It was given to the banks against the loans of the farmers.
