At the request of the army, the train rushed at maximum speed, arriving twenty-seven minutes earlier than scheduled.

- Departed Rajdhani Express to go and take their luggage

New Delhi, 24 December 2020, Thursday

It was learned that the Railways had run the Rajdhani Express at maximum speed to deliver the Indian Army personnel to their destination on time.

A railway spokesperson said that 100 Indian Army personnel were to reach Delhi from Ramgarh with their luggage. The Indian Army had requested the Railways to run the train at its maximum speed.

For some reason, they could go from Barkakana instead of Ramgarh. The train, which stopped at Barkakana for only five minutes, was unlikely to carry their luggage. That is why the Ranchi division of the railways rushed the Rajdhani Express to Barkaka at maximum speed so that the convoy could be saved and the train could reach its destination on time.

The Rajdhani Express usually reaches Barkaka at 7:25 pm. But due to the maximum speed of the train, the train reached Barkaka at 7:08 pm and the army personnel could easily board the train with their belongings.

"We have taken this decision realizing the need of the Indian Army," a railway spokesperson said. It is the duty of everyone to help the soldiers of the army.
