Last week, 30 farmers' unions in Punjab announced the withdrawal of the Stop Rail Movement for 15 days, but today the farmers of the Kisan Mazdoor Sangharsh Samiti staged a protest on the railway tracks, forcing several trains to Amritsar to be diverted. However, Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh has criticized the farmers of the Kisan Mazdoor Sangharsh Committee.

It may be mentioned that the farmers of Punjab are protesting against the agricultural laws of the Center. Amritsar Deputy Commissioner Gurpreet Singh Khaira said on Tuesday that farmers had blocked the railway track at Jandiala railway station, 25 km from Amritsar.

Due to which the routes of trains going to Amritsar had to be changed and passengers from Amritsar were transported to Amritsar by bus and other vehicles. Meanwhile, the Kisan Mazdoor Sargharsh Committee has said that the protests will continue till the central government repeals the agricultural laws.

Meanwhile, Haryana Chief Minister Manoharlal Khattar said that in view of the Delhi March of farmers against the Centre's agricultural laws, Haryana's borders with Punjab would be sealed on November 26 and 27. For this, the Haryana Police has advised the people not to go to the area near the Punjab border on these two days.

On the other hand, the Center has said that it has decided to hold ministerial-level talks with Punjab farmers 'unions on December 3 to resolve differences over the new agricultural laws. Punjab farmers' unions have been invited for the meeting. This will be the second round of talks with farmers' organizations on agricultural legislation. The first round of talks was held on 13 November. However the talks remained undecided.
