The boat sank in Bhagalpur, Bihar and 20 people went missing

Twenty people were reported missing after a boat capsized on the Tintanga Karari Ganga Ghat in Navagachhia in Bihar's Bhagalpur district. Rescuers rescued 30 people. The boat had more than fifty passengers in addition to the sailors,

These people were going to harvest corn in their fields. Among those believed to have drowned were women and children. Farm laborers and farmers went out to harvest maize. According to eyewitnesses, the boat was overcrowded. Upon receiving the news, the police force of Gopalpur police station and the district collector rushed to the spot. Swimmers from the National Disaster Relief Committee were carrying out relief work. Locals also participated in the relief work. 20 people were missing at the time of writing. The abducted people were admitted to Gopalganj Government Health Center for treatment.
