Tensions on the border will ease, with Indian and Chinese troops retreating in three phases

Ongoing negotiations between India and China on the Ladakh border have seen some good results.

Sources said that the armies of the two countries have agreed to retreat in three phases to maintain the status quo. After that, the armies of both the countries will return to the status quo in April-May. China will also withdraw about 400 of its tanks from the border.

The eighth meeting between the two countries was held on November 6 to discuss the withdrawal of troops in three phases.

In the first phase, the two countries will take vehicles equipped with tanks, cannons and weapons a long way back from the LAC. The operation will be completed in one day.

In the second phase, the two armies will return to their former positions on the northern shore of Pangog Lake. The operation will last for three days and the two countries will withdraw 30 per cent of their troops daily. Will return.

In the third phase of the project, the two armies will move from the southern shores of Pangong Lake, including the Chushul and Rezang La areas, to their former positions.
