Telangana Congress woman leader Vijayashanti likely to join BJP

Speculation has started that Vijayashanti, who turned from an actress to a politician, will leave the Congress and join the BJP. With Vijayashanti, BJP leaders from the state met in the last one week.
Vijayashanti started his political career with BJP in 19th. He then joined TRS. Vijay Shanti joined the Congress in 2012. He had contested the 2012 Assembly elections on a Congress ticket and lost.
In the Congress, Rahul Gandhi had handed over the responsibility of star campaigner in Telangana to Vijay Shanti in the 2014 elections. But his supporters say Congress has ignored him for the past year.
Vijayashanti has been away from Congress activities for a long time. It is missing from everything from congressional posters. Despite the hard work of the Congress in the by-elections, Vijayashanti was kept away from its campaign.
A few days ago, Vijayashanti himself gave such a hint on Twitter. Since then, rumors have been circulating that he is joining the BJP. There were reports that Vijayashanti was meeting BJP leaders in recent days.
Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Kishan Reddy had an hour-long talk with Vijayashanti. Earlier, he had also met the BJP state president.
In Telangana, speculation is rife that the BJP is set to field Vijay Shanti as a star campaigner and face against the ruling TSR.
