- G20 was printed for the summit, withdrawn before the summit

Dubai / New Delhi Dated 20th November 2020 Friday

Saudi Arabia withdrew 20 riyal notes with wrong map of Jammu and Kashmir and stopped printing more notes.

The note was unveiled for the G20 summit. However, Saudi Arabia withdrew the note just before the summit began due to a misunderstanding to stop the spread of misunderstandings.

The map of India published on this note showed Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh separately from India. India strongly protested against this. Saudi Arabia immediately admitted its mistake and withdrew the notes and stopped printing the notes in the mint.

It is important to note that this time Saudi Arabia is chairing the G20 summit. On one side of the note is a picture of King Salman of Saudi Arabia and the logo of the G20. On the other side was a map showing the G20 member countries. In this map, India's Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh were shown differently from India. India immediately protested.

Osaf Syed, India's ambassador to Saudi Arabia, spoke on behalf of India. At that time, the relations between India and Saudi Arabia were harmonious, so Saudi Arabia immediately admitted its mistake and withdrew the 20 riyal note and also stopped printing in the press where the note was being printed.
