- Jitan also contacted Ram Manjhi

The RJD, which emerged as the largest party in the Bihar Assembly elections, still has no hope of forming a government in the state. Tejaswi Yadav still kept alive his hopes of becoming the Chief Minister.

"We have received information that Mukesh Sahni of the developing Insan Party wants the post of deputy chief minister," a RJD spokesperson said. We offered to make Mukesh Sahni of the developing Insan Party the Deputy Chief Minister. We also approached former chief minister and Dalit leader Jitendra Manjhi. However, we have not yet received any clear positive response. But we have not given up hope of forming a government yet. Our doors are still open. We are openly seeking everyone's cooperation.

It may be recalled here that the grand alliance formed under the leadership of RJD got 110 seats. There are a total of 243 seats in the Bihar Assembly. A majority requires 122 seats. If Tejaswi Yadav gets the cooperation of other parties, the grand alliance can cross the 122 mark. The most disappointing performance was made by the Congress. Asaduddin Owaisi also criticized the Congress. The grand coalition needs only twelve seats to form a government. Five of Owaisi's are ready. Jitendra Manjhi's party has won four seats. Mukesh Sahni himself lost from the Simri Bakhtiarpur seat. However, if he accepts the post, he will be re-elected within six months.
