Pakistani court sentences Hafiz Saeed, mastermind of Mumbai attacks, to 10 years in prison

Hafiz Saeed, mastermind of Mumbai attacks, has been sentenced by a Pakistani anti-terror court to 10 years in prison. The court has convicted Saeed in two cases involving terror funding. Along with Saeed, Zafar Iqbal, Yahya Mujahid and Abdul Rahman Makki have also been sentenced to 10 and a half years in prison.

Hafiz Saeed was arrested in July 2019 and is currently facing four charges. A total of 41 cases have been filed by the CTD against the leaders of Jamaat-ud-Dawa, of which 24 have been decided, while the rest are pending in the ATC court. According to the report, Saeed is facing charges of providing funds for terrorist activities and illegal land grabbing.
