Modi government announces 12 packages worth Rs 2.65 lakh crore

The central government has once again taken some steps to revive the sluggish economy.

Today, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitaram has announced version 3.0 of the Self-Reliant India Campaign, which includes 12 packages worth Rs 2.65 lakh crore.

As part of which, the government will pay the PF amount of newly hired employees in organizations hiring up to 1000 employees for two years. This decision will come into effect from October 1.

Apart from this as part of the advertisements

- Rs 900 crore will be provided for research of covid vaccine

- Rs 10200 crore will be provided for Capital Expenditure and Industrial Expenditure.

- Exim Bank will be given a line of credit of Rs 3000 crore to increase project exports.

37000 crore has been spent in 116 districts so far under Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Rozgar Yojana. Another Rs. 10000 crore has been provided for its expansion.

- 65000 crore subsidy will be given for fertilizer which will benefit 14 crore farmers.

- Circulation rate and agreement value discount has been increased to 20 per cent as part of a big relief in housing. However, this discount will be for first time home buyers.

- Performance security has been reduced to 3 per cent in government tenders. The relief will last till December 31, 2021. An additional Rs 18,000 crore will be spent for PM Awas Yojana.

- 1.46 lakh crore production link incentive scheme has been implemented for 10 sectors, which will increase employment.

As per the recommendation of the working committee, five years have been given for repayment of principal under the Emergency Credit Line Guarantee Scheme for 26 sectors.

The deadline for the Emergency Credit Line Guarantee Scheme has been extended to March 31, 2021.

Under this scheme, more than two lakh crore loans have been given to 61 lakh people, out of which 1.52 lakh crore has been disbursed.

--Banks have issued Kisan credit cards to 150 million farmers. Capital of 25000 crore has been allotted through NABARD.

- Migrant laborers are benefiting after the implementation of One Nation, One Ration Card scheme in all the states.

- A loan of Rs. 1373 crore has been given under PM Swanidhai Yojana.

GST collection is targeted at 10 per cent. Bank credit has risen by 5.1 per cent till October 23.
