BJP's West Bengal unit president Dilip Ghosh's car was attacked on Thursday. Luckily Dilip Ghosh was not in the car. After the attack on his car, it was alleged that Mamata, like the leftists, was now indulging in electoral violence.

On the one hand, there was a revolt in Mamata's Trinamool Congress itself, the BJP was gaining ground day by day and as little as that, Asaduddin Owaisi's confidence increased after winning five seats in the Bihar Assembly elections and he announced to contest the West Bengal Assembly elections.

Owaisi did not stop there. He lashed out at Mamata Banerjee, saying she had misused Muslims just to win elections. If he had done something concrete for Muslims, how could the BJP have won 18 seats. Thus Mamta feels that she is now surrounded on all sides. Attacks on BJP leaders and activists by the Trinamool Congress have been on the rise in West Bengal for some time now.

The BJP had even alleged that Mamata was calling on the betel killers of Bangladesh to assassinate BJP leaders. Violence in West Bengal began in the 1970s when the Marxist Communist Party was on the rise. After that, the leftist government of Jyoti Basu ruled West Bengal for three decades. Opposition groups called for a boycott of the assembly. Mamata defeated the leftists. Now Mamata was accused of committing murders like the leftists.
