India bans 43 more mobile apps, including Snack Video, see full list

The Indian government has banned a further 43 mobile apps, blocking access to users' data in India under Section 69-A of the IT Act. Earlier in June and July, India also banned 118 mobile apps, including Pubji.

The 43 apps that the government has banned so far include many popular apps like Snack Video, Snack Video quickly emerged as its alternative on Tiktok, also Chinese apps, these 43 mobile apps have been prosecuted for The government received inputs that it was involved in biased activities towards India's sovereignty, integrity, security and public order.

Applications that the government has banned include Ali Suppliers Mobile App, Alibaba Workbench, Ali Express, Alipay Cashier, Lalamov India, Drive with Lalamoo India, Snack Video, Camcard-Business Card Reader, Cam Card-BCR Western, Soul, Date in Asia, We Date, Free Dating App, Ador App, Truly Chinese, Truly Asian, China Love, Date My Age, Asian Date, Flirt Wish, Guys Only Dating, Tubit, We Work China, First Love Live, Rila, Cashier Wallet, Mago TV, MGTV, VTV, VTV Lite, Lucky Live, Taobao Live, Ding Talk, Identity V, Iceland 2, Box Star, Happy Fish, Jellypop Match, Manchankin Match, Conquista Online.

Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, GoI ( oGoI_MeitY ) issued an order today under section 69A of the Information Technology Act blocking access to 43 mobile apps in India.
