Former Bihar CM Lalu Prasad Yadav not granted bail, further hearing on December 11

RJD chief and former Bihar CM Lalu Prasad Yadav, who is serving his sentence in four fodder scam cases, has not been granted bail even today.

Lalu Prasad's bail plea in the case was heard in the Ranchi High Court. The court then ordered a further hearing on December 11. Thus, Lalu will have to return to jail and wait for the verdict on bail.

Lalu Prasad has been granted bail in three of the four cases but is yet to be granted bail in one case. Due to which he is in jail. If he gets bail in this case too, he will be released from jail. Lalu has been serving his sentence in jail for the last three years. Yadav's lawyer Prabhat Kumar said, "The next hearing is on December 11. We have been directed by the court to bring the records related to Lalu Prasad's sentence from the lower court."

Lalu Prasad is currently undergoing treatment at Reims Hospital in Ranchi. Lalu Prasad Yadav has been sentenced to a total of 14 years in the fodder scam case. He has been convicted in five fodder scam cases. In four of these cases, a CBI court has sentenced Lalu.

Lalu Prasad has sought bail on the grounds of his illness and on the other hand, the CBI is opposing his bail. Recently, Lalu has been accused of soliciting NDA MLAs by phone while in jail.
